Bind that quilt

I have several quilts that need binding!  I have decided that I will not start another project until they are all fininshed. I have about 4 more to do.   I find this step in the quilting process to be my least favorite thing to do. Anyone feel the same way?

I woke up very stiff this morning...my knees and elbows were hurting a lot.  I guess it is the change in the weather.  I am much better this afternoon.  Sitting at  my sewing machine helps me focus on something else besides the pain!  My hands are very swollen too!  I determined not to let it stop me from doing the things I need to do.

New URL for my blog

the new URL for this blog is:
http://beebeesquiltsandmore.blogspot.com/

I hope everyone can still find me.  The other URL was too hard for me to remember when I wanted to tell friends about it.  This way the URL matches the name of the Blog.

I have enjoyed keeping track of all the other blogs on my page.  I have made some wonderful, talented, quilting friends!

I am even in a Goat Herding group...imagine that!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Check out these scraps!

I made three more of the 10"  squares last night and went to bed.  This morning when I opened my eyes I thought?????why not make them half solid and half scrappy and then I will have enough to make a small quilt.  This playing with scraps thing is  addicting!

Here is a photo of what the quilt will look like once I sew them all together!
What do you think?
Neat Huh?  I love this way of making blocks. It is fun.

Working with scraps!

I decided to try something different.  I went to a quilt shop in Houma.  I bought a $3 bag of scraps...yes, scraps...A few weeks ago I gave someone a big black garbage bag full of scraps.  Who knew I would want to try this.  It was a nice assortment of pieces.  Here they are!

I pressed the pieces and sorted them by color and then sat at  my sewing machine.  This is what I ended up with after about an hour and a half.  I have 9 very interesting 10 inch squares.  I plan to connect the with a dark fabric and make a quilt with them.  This was fun to do.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Goats

Here is a photo of Honey, my sweet little goat.  She will be visiting Suzanne, then Sue, then Jan and then home to me!  She will visit, Iowa, Western Australia, and Alabama.  I can not wait for her to return home so I can see what she had been up to while traveling!
